Around 2010, the ceramic generation came to market, bringing with it a noticeably more contemporary aesthetic with a more lustrous bezel insert and a broader case design. Many die-hard collectors prefer the understated and nostalgic aesthetic of the 16610. It has the classic dive watch look many are after, including a stainless steel finish, black uni-directional bezel, and black dial, while simultaneously featuring modern design elements such as white gold hour markers, scratch-resistant sapphire, and the high-beat caliber 3135 Perpetual movements.
